Happy Dyngus Day
Pronounced: SHMEE-goos DIN-goos
A Polish tradition observed on Easter Monday or Wet Easter Monday when boys douse girls with water and switch their legs. While this fun filled, spirited Polish tradition isn't widely celebrated in the United States, there are several cities that embrace this tradition. Buffalo, New Year with a large Polish population certainly knows how to celebrate this day with a parade, music, piwo/beer, Polish food, and even crowns a Queen.
I wrote a blog post last year which explains Dyngus Day you can read that post by click here.
