Thrift Share

One quick stop at the thrift shop was all the thrift shopping I managed.   I just returned from a six- day vacation with my son's family in Las Vegas.  My son offered to take me to a thrift shop while we were vacationing, very sweet. I reluctantly declined his offer. I had a wonderful time and made many memories with my son and grandson.  Saturday afternoon I took a quick run over to the thrift shop. Surprise, surprise, surprise, everything was half price.  These are the items I couldn't leave behind...

I could not resist this pink wool hat.  What sold me was the wonderful hat pin!

This swan caught my eye. The sticker says made in Italy.
Could this be Kanawha glass?

This butterfly bowl by Nambe is from 1967 and was priced .89¢ but remember everything was half price. For that price, I couldn't pass it up.  Now I need to find some Nambe polish and get this cutie all shined up and pretty.

Can't wait to see what treasures everyone else has found.

I am linking up with, Her Library Adventures on Sunday, for:

on Monday with Apron Thrift Girl for:

  1. The hat pin looks like corn. Very unusual. I love the glass with the swan head - I have a dish that is clear with a swan head that belonged to my grandmother. It is one of my favorites. I also have a pink dish with two birds on each side.

  2. That hat pin is very interesting. Great buy on the Nambe bowl. I'm not sure what that is so I'm off to do some googling. :)

  3. I don't know what a Nambe bowl is either. Is it Japanese?

  4. @ Ruth and Tammy: Nambe was founded in 1951 and is celebrating its 60th Anniversary this year. A Nambe product has the luster of silver but the strength of iron. Brides love to register for a Nambe product for weddings, bridal showers, and engagement parties. I have added a link for Nambe on this post, should have done that to begin with, sorry. ♥

  5. I have a Nambe bowel I included on my wedding resgistry (way back in 1994) at Dillards and it still has the price tag on it....it's a little larger than yours and it was $97.00!!! I think you got a little treasure there! Congrats!
