Thrift Share

Isn't the glow of Christmas lights in a dimly lit room magical! Well at least I think so. That is why I was so elated when I saw this sitting on the cart at my local Goodwill.

Not only are these ceramic Christmas trees hard to find, but the prices are often times exceptionally high.  My lovely ceramic tree was priced at $2.99. I am still doing a happy dance.

After a good clean up I placed the little plastic ornaments in the holes, put the tree on the table at the end of my hallway, and now it's beginning to look a little like Christmas.

Cheerfully,
Paulette

  2. Oh I love the wee ceramic trees! I've been looking for one for ages but generally they are badly chipped or missing many of the plastic ornaments.

    Great find!

  4. I love these trees. I have two that my mom made for us a long time ago...they both have music boxes which is wonderful. You got a great deal on this.

  5. I remember these from my mother's ceramics days. I think my brother may have inherited either our old tree or my grandmother's tree. Sadly, i don't have one to call my own. The one you found is lovely!

  6. Oh my goodness, I've wanted one of these FOREVER! My grandmother had one when I was little, and so they make me think of those childhood Christmas experiences. Every time I find one, though, they are either super expensive (as you said) or missing their bulbs, or both. Congrats on your find!
