Thrift Share

Do you receive emails from, the estate sale network that alerts you to sales in your area?  You choose your area from the fifty states or Canada, and they send you an email with all of the details including photos of items for sale from that estate sale.

Thursday mornings email from reminded me that a neighboring town just eighteen miles  away had an estate sale that started at 9:00 am.  I love going to estate sales, but I especially like sales that start on Thursday, but I had a list of items that I wanted to get done that day, and decided that I wasn't going.  The Bible verse Matthew 26:41 comes to mind: The spirit indeed is willingbut the flesh is weak

After getting lost, because the navigation system couldn't locate the address, I hate when that happens, it turned out it wasn't the greatest sales I have ever been to.

Here's what I come home with.

The basket made sometime in the 1960's is by a company called Regaline. Regaline was a company known for designing plastic ware to mimic cut glass can yo see the intricate design on the basket?

The silver plate on the tops of the
salt and pepper shakers shined up nicely.

The Grimm's Fair Tales book is from 1934, and is printed on paper similar to construction paper.
The Animal Show book is dated 1965 and has Peter Patter Rhymes.
Christmas Carols was published in 1946. I enjoy ephemera, especially children's books.

Enamel ware trimmed in red and three different style vintage clothespins made this estate sale shopper happy.
