Picturesque Snow Fall

After being blessed with such lovely weather for most of the winter, this morning we were dusting off our boots, hats, and gloves so that we could remove several inches of snow.

Mother Nature did  provide us with a picturesque winter wonderland this morning.

Han Christian Andersen's - Snow Queen
touched the Red Bud tree.

Wet, heavy snow clinging to the branches
of the Red Bud tree.

A view from my deck of the back yard.

My grandchildren will enjoy this snow fall, now they will be able to use their new sleds, perhaps I will join them this afternoon.

  5. Lovely, but what a difference from the weather earlier this week! It was always a bit startling to me to wake up to a world of white unexpectedly. No chance of that now. Haha!

  7. That sounds like fun! Although clearing the snow may be a lot of work, the snow is still so beautiful to look at.

  10. Beautiful! We had a few flakes this year, but not any accumulation. My kids would love to have a snow day! We would make snow cream and hot cocoa, with a snowball fight or two. Enjoy your view!
