We had an experience and an adventure

While on vacation in Orlando, Florida we of course made our mandatory stop(s) to the most magical place on earth, Disney.

The obligatory photo in front of the castle.

My son purchased mouse ears for my grandson, who wore those ears all day long during our first visit to the park, but never put them back on again.

This hat was on his head from the early morning
until we left the park at night.

We also paid extra to have is name embroidered on the hat.
What were we thinking?
Just because they sell it doesn't mean you should buy it. No wonder I see so many Disney items at my local Goodwill, where else can you wear Disney items like this?

We also spent one day at Universal Studios because we had to see the wizarding world of Harry Potter.

The arched entrance that leads us to this magical world.

Hogwarts train.

A very goofy conductor.

Ready to go in the store to buy a wand.

All the roofs on the building were snow
covered while the temperatures were in the 80's.

Walt Disney World is an experience while Universal Studios is an adventure, but you know what? I enjoyed both parks.

  1. I bet Declan had a fantastic time. And btw, we never found anything with the name 'Danika' already on it, either. Loved your comment about why there are so many Disney items at Goodwill. lol Isn't that true! But so fun at the time and enhances the experience.

  2. Glad you enjoyed it! Its 20 years since we took my two sons to Disney but it was the most amazing experience in the world.I'd love to be able to go back with my grandchildren some day.

  3. You were in my stomping grounds! :) I love Disney, I think for sentimental reasons. Harry Potter is more fun when it's cold (all 5 days out of 365, lol).

I nominated you for a Versatile Blogger award, come by and check it out when you have time. :)

  6. My grandsons will be there next week. The twins will be 8 on the 29th so they should be the perfect age to enjoy it. Love the photos!

  7. I've not been to Universal yet, but I have been eyeing the Harry Potter world. BTW, we bought my son ears too. Wore them for about 2 hours and never put them back on. I don't remember what we paid for them, but don't think it was a good investment.
